Our customers are expected to adhere to best practices in email marketing.

While we provide tools to support compliance, it is ultimately the user's responsibility to ensure their campaigns meet legal standards.

If any user fails to comply, we reserve the right to take corrective actions, which may include account termination.

However, our primary goal is to help users improve their email practices to avoid issues.

Improving Email Sending Behavior

If a customer’s email sending behavior does not meet our standards or violates laws, we will reach out to provide guidance and resources to help them improve.

We believe in fostering a collaborative environment where users can learn and enhance their email marketing strategies.

Prohibited Sending Purposes

To maintain high deliverability and compliance, the following types of email sending are strictly prohibited:

‍Phishing: Sending fraudulent emails posing as someone you are not to steal information or deceive recipients.

Illegal Activities: Promoting or containing illegal activities.

Low Quality: Sending messages that result in high bounce or complaint rates.

Malicious Content: Distributing malware, viruses, or other harmful code.

Harassment: Sending messages to harass, intimidate, or threaten any individual or group.

Interference: Sending messages that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair Mailscale or any other service.

Prohibited Sending Content

The following content is not allowed in emails sent through MailScale:

- Illegal goods or services
- Content that violates CAN-SPAM, GDPR, or other local laws
- Pornography or sexually explicit content
- Escort services
- Pharmaceutical products
- Gambling services or products
- Multi-level marketing or pyramid schemes
- Get-rich-quick opportunities
- Credit repair and debt relief services
- Short-term/payday loan services
- List brokers or rental services
- Selling social media likes or followers
- Any content that could harm our reputation or deliverability

Appropriate Mailing Lists

For unsolicited recipients, ensure:

- Inclusion of a valid postal address/company name.
- Disclosure of the reason for contact.
- An easy, frictionless opt-out (unsubscribe) method that is honored within 7 days.
- Confidence that your message provides value to the recipient.
- Use of the recipient’s company email address instead of personal addresses.
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
